Kate Walsh and Jim Gaffigan have joined the cast of STATEN ISLAND SUMMER alongside Ashley Greene, John DeLuca, Graham Phillips and Zach Pearlman. The story follows a Harvard-bound high school graduate and his slacker best friend who take summer lifeguard jobs where they find their lives going in different directions. Walsh and Gaffigan will play the parents of the Danny, the kid played by Phillips.
Colin Jost (“SNL”) wrote the script that Rhys Miles Thomas will direct. Producing will be John Goldwyn and Lorne Michaels.
Walsh recently played a mother in 2012’s “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” and last appeared in “Scary MoVie.” She’ll show up in “Dermaphoria.” Gaffigan is obviously best known for his standup comedy but has also shown up in “It’s Kind of a Funny Story” and most recently “Kilimanjaro.”
Walsh & Gaffigan are repped by CAA.
