Keira Knightley is the latest star to scale Universal’s EVEREST. The 3D drama focuses on two different expeditions that are hit by ferocious blizzards on a climb to the top of Mt. Everest. Knightley will play Jan Arnold, the widow of one of the climbers who scaled the mountain five times. The rest of the impressive cast include Josh Brolin, Jake Gyllenhall, Sam Worthington and Robin Wright, just to name a few.
Knightley is known for her dramatic period roles in “Pride and Prejudice” and “Atonement” but also for her role as Elizabeth Swann in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise. Knightley’s upcoming projects include the thriller “Candy Store” opposite Robert De Niro and historical drama “The Imitation Game” opposite Benedict Cumberbatch where she plays Joan Clarke, a codebreaker during WWII.
