Kellan Lutz and Gina Carano have joined the cast of EXTRACTION. Directed by Steven C. Miller, the thriller centers on a young CIA operative who launches his own operation to save his father, a former CIA operative himself, who has been kidnapped by terrorists. Bruce Willis also stars in the action picture. Lutz will play the rookie CIA agent, Harry Turner, who must find his father (Willis). Carano is set to play Victoria, a field operative who is assigned by the CIA to track Harry down. Max Adams and Umair Aleem penned the script.
Lutz, having escaped the Twilight franchise, is making a name for himself in action roles. He starred in Renny Harlin’s The Legend of Hercules and Relativity’s Immortals with Henry Cavil, about the legendary Theseus, a man chosen by Zeus to lead the fight against the ruthless King Hyperion. He was most recently seen in The Expendables 3.
Carano is no stranger to action herself. She starred in Fast and Furious 6 and in Steven Soderbergh’s Haywire as a black ops super soldier who seeks payback after she is betrayed and set up during a mission. She will next co-star as Angel Dust in Fox/Marvel’s upcoming superhero outing, Deadpool, with Ryan Reynolds as the titular character.
