Kelly Rohrbach will join Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron in Paramount’s upcoming BAYWATCH movie, a reboot of the iconic 90’s television series. Rohrbach will be playing C.J. Parker, a role made famous by Pamela Anderson. Horrible Bosses helmer Seth Gordon is set to direct.
Sources say the story follows the lifeguards as they explore an oil rig off the Malibu coast, one which turns out to be a meth lab. Writers and producers are putting a broadly comedic twist on the premise of the series, in the vein of Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s 21 Jump Street reboot.
Johnson is producing with Dany Garcia through their Seven Bucks Productions, along with Beau Flynn and his Flynn Picture Co. and Ivan Reitman and his Montecito Picture Company.
In addition to Baywatch, Rohrbach has a supporting role in Woody Allen’s yet-to-be-titled film, scheduled for release later this year.
