Ken Jeong has signed on to star in the WWE Studios comedy UNTITLED CELEBRITY DEATH POOL. The project centers on a night club owner who attempts to kill David Hasselhoff to win his celebrity death pool so he can pay off a debt to a loan shark. Hasselhoff himself will star in the comedy, which he is also producing with Ashok Amritraj, Michele Berk, Patrick Hughes, and Warren Zide. Joining the Hoff and Jeong will be former wrestler Hulk Hogan. Darren Grant is on board to helm the project from a spec script written by Peter Hoare.
Jeong is well known for his comedy roles in films like “The Hangover,” “Pineapple Express,” and “Knocked Up.” He also starred on NBC’s comedy “Community” for five seasons. Jeong has a slew of projects in the works, which include the Dreamworks animation “Penguins of Madagascar,” the CBS Films comedy “The DUFF,” and Tim Story’s action/comedy sequel “Ride Along 2.”
