Kevin Spacey has just landed himself back-to-back roles opposite Ansel Elgort. The House of Cards star is in final talks to join Edgar Wright’s BABY DRIVER, which also stars Elgort, Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx and Lily James. Spacey is also set to join Elgort’s drama BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB, which co-stars Taron Egerton.
Baby Driver centers on a young, talented getaway driver (Elgort) who relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best, but must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom. Spacey would play the boss of a criminal crew, a veteran who worked his way up from the bottom to recruit a close-knit group of professionals.
Billionaire Boys Club follows the true life tale of Joe Hunt, who built an investment pool that made him the center of attention in L.A. in the 1980s, yet it was founded on fraud and schemes. Hunt would eventually murder a Beverly Hills high-roller after their investment didn’t pan out. Spacey will play Ron Levin, the high-roller in question.
Spacey will next appear in the fourth season of Netflix’s House of Cards, as well as the Barry Sonnenfeld comedy Nine Lives. The Oscar winner just wrapped on the drama Elvis & Nixon, in which he plays the former president to Michael Shannon’s Elvis. He’s also in production on Fox’s animated comedy Boss Baby.
Spacey is repped by CAA.
