Set in late summer 79 A.D., the story revolves around the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, from the point of view of a slave of a shipping tycoon in love with his master’s daughter, and a gladiator fighting for his freedom. If he joins the film, Harington would play Milo, the slave at the center of the film.
Anderson will also produce with Jeremy Bolt and Robert Kulzer.
“Game of Thrones” star Harington garnered himself a film credit in this year’s video game horror-adaptation “Silent Hill: Revelations” alongside fellow “Thrones” star Sean Bean. He has wrapped on the adventure pic “The Seventh Son” and is in production on the animated sequel “How to Train Your Dragon 2”. He is repped by United Agents and CAA.
