After announcing several new cast members via Twitter, Bryan Singer has now announced the addition of Kodi Smit-McPhee to X-MEN: APOCALYPSE via Instagram.
Smit-McPhee is set to play the younger version of the mutant Nightcrawler in the latest X-Men flick. James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Michael Fassbender are already returning to the franchise. Singer is directing for 20th Century Fox from Simon Kinberg’s script.
Smit-McPee starred opposite Viggo Mortensen in The Road, for which he was nominated for a Critic’s Choice Award. He was most recently seen in John Maclean’s Slow West opposite Michael Fassbender. The western follows a young man on a journey across the 19th-century frontier in search of the woman he loves.
He is repped by ICM and MGMT Entertainment.
