“Labyrinth” Reboot To Be Penned By “Guardians Of The Galaxy” Co-Writer

Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer, has been tapped to pen the reboot of the 1986 fantasy cult classic, LABYRINTH starring Jennifer Connelly and the late David Bowie. TriStar recently closed a deal with the Jim Henson Co. for the movie that will be a new iteration of the movie.

The original told the story of a teenage girl, played by Connelly, who had to navigate through a maze of  fantastical creatures and obstacles to rescue her baby brother from the Goblin King played by Bowie. Henson directed the movie written by Terry Jones and  executive produced by George Lucas. Whether or not the reboot will  follow the original is unclear.
