Newcomer Lana Condor has been added to the cast of the Peter Berg-directed Boston Marathon bombing movie, PATRIOTS DAY starring Mark Wahlberg.
She is set to play an MIT graduate student who is the girlfriend of Sean Collier, the MIT police officer who was shot to death three days after the bombing by Dzhokhar Tsarnaev or Tamerlan Tsarnaev. She will join the impressive ensemble of actors that includes John Goodman, J.K. Simmons, Michelle Monaghan, Vince Curalota, James Colby, Kevin Bacon and Jimmy O. Yang.
The script was written by Academy Award-nominated Bridge of Spies screenwriter Matt Charman. Wahlberg will produce alongside Scott Stuber, Hutch Parker, Dylan Clark, Stephen Levinson and Michael Radutzky. The film is set for a Dec. 21 release date.
Condor will make her feature film debut as Jubilee in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse this summer.
