A project that has continued to generate buzz and excitement since it placed in the Top 10 of the 2017 Launch Pad Competition – THE BEAST has set Christine Crokos to direct the Hit List & Black List horror-thriller from scribe Aaron W. Sala!
A USC-Grad, Crokos made her directorial debut in 2008 with Bang-Bang Wedding. Her most recent work is Pimp which she wrote, directed and produced starring Keke Palmer and Executive Producer Lee Daniels. It’s also reported that she will write, direct and produce a biopic of U.S. Women’s Soccer star Hope Solo.
The H Collective acquired Sala’s script last year in a six-figure deal, which they will also fully finance the feature. The story follows a woman facing off against a bloodthirsty beast after her plane crashes in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It packs thrills into a contained story with emotional resonance. The project landed Sala on both the 2018 Hit List and Black list and he was featured on the 2018 Young & Hungry List. His previous spec, THE FIFTH STAGE, was featured in the Launch Pad Feature competition in 2015.
The project has Sherryl Clark and Kenneth Huang producing for The H Collective with Kent Huang and Nic Crawely serving as Executive Producers.
Sala is repped by Verve and Lit Entertainment Group. Crokos is repped by Verve and Levin/Brown Management.
