Launch Pad Alum and former Launch Pad Competition Mentor Michael Perri has boarded the writing staff of one of television’s hottest shows, BLINDSPOT. Perri joins the hit NBC drama as a writer as the series moves into its second season.
In 2012, Perri appeared on The Young & Hungry List with his pilot script Nexxus – which also received the coveted distinction of earning a TB Recommends. Soon after, Perri landed a spot in NBC’s “Writers on the Verge” fellowship program. From there, he was staffed on the network’s drama series State of Affairs, starring Katherine Heigl, where he wrote the season finale with acclaimed writer/director Joe Carnahan. Perri served as a mentor in the 2015 Launch Pad Pilots Competition Mentorship Program, where he is currently helping to steer the career of Launch Pad writer Alex Freedman.
Blindspot stars Jaimie Alexander as a woman with no memory of who she is discovers that each intricate tattoo on Jane Doe’s body is a crime to solve, creating a map that leads ever closer to the truth about her identity and mysteries yet to be revealed. The high-concept procedural got off to a strong start for NBC in its Monday at 10PM time slot, earning an early second season renewal from the Peacock thanks to its strong ratings and riveting storytelling (check out Will Hamilton’s weekly review of the show here).
