Congratulations to Launch Pad Alum Sarah Lampert, whose drama pilot GINNY & GEORGIA has been picked up by Netflix for a 10 episode order. Showrunner Debra J. Fisher (CRIMINAL MINDS, BEING MARY JANE) will be overseeing the series with Anya Adams (GLOW, BLACK-ISH) attached to direct the first two episodes.

The series follows teenager Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and her outgoing and unpredictable mother Georgia (Brianna Howey), who are settling in a quaint New England town in hopes of a more stable and normal life. Stars Jennifer Robertson (SCHITT’S CREEK) and Scott Porter (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) are attached in supporting roles. The series is slated to debut on the streaming platform in 2020.

Lampert’s Launch Pad script I LOVE COLLEGE generated massive buzz in the Pilots Competition when it placed in the Top 25. Described as Greek meets Mean Girls, the story follow four freshman girls as they attempt to reconcile being modern, independent women with rushing a sorority and the sexism, peer pressure, cattiness, drugs, hierarchy, and, above all, sisterhood that comes with it. The script received high marks for its strong sense of humor, clear voice, impeccable plotting, and hilarious over-the-top characters that form a well-balanced sitcom ensemble.

Following her Launch Pad success, Lampert signed with Charles Ferraro and Lily Safran at UTA, as well as Courtney Conwell and Michael Claassen of Writ Large.

We are thrilled to see Sarah’s career taking off, and proud to have her as part of our list of successful Launch Pad alumni, who include more than 450 writers signed, 160 projects set up, 68 writers staffed, and 7 bidding wars.
