Original season 2013 Launch Pad Competition Alums and 2015 Launch Pad Mentors Bisanne Masoud and Talia Gonzalez have joined the writer’s room of the hit CBS series HAWAII FIVE-0.
Following a season on MTV’s Teen Wolf, and three years on the Rob Thomas series iZombie at CW, Masoud and Gonzalez have made the jump into the broadcast world joining the ninth season of the fan-favorite CBS series. Two of our favorite writers and just overall human beings, the team landed a number of episodes over the years as staff writers before making the leap to story editors, and ultimately executive story editors on iZombie. Now as they join Hawaii Five-0 they’ll also be involved in the series in a producing capacity.
Prior to conquering the world of television the duo met while both attending NYU’s Tisch School of Arts. Little did they know at the time that this meeting (while both studying acting no less) would lead to the writing of play that would go on to perform to dozens of sold out shows and land multiple awards. Switching their focus to writing, the team graduated from NYU and made the journey west with the intent to focus on writing exclusively. After arriving in Los Angeles, the team would go on to win several screenwriting awards, including the Launch Pad Competition, and would eventually find their way into the room on Teen Wolf, which would lead to iZombie, and now Hawaii Five-0.
You can catch their latest episode of the currently airing season of iZombie “Mac-Liv-Moore” on the CW app or on Hulu.
Masoud and Gonzalez are represented by Greg Iserson of UTA and Danny Sherman & Jeff Ciabattari of Thruline Entertainment.
