Laura Dern is currently in talks to join the cast of THE FOUNDER. Michael Keaton is attached to star in the biopic following the life McDonald’s fast food corporation founder Ray Kroc. The film follows the tycoon through his journey to create the largest fast food franchise in the world. Dern is in talks to play Ethel Kroc, Kroc’s first wife who had to suffer through his business schemes on the rough road to building his empire. Robert Siegel has written the screenplay with John Lee Hancock set to direct.
Dern has recently appeared in Wild, for which she has received an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress. She is set to collaborate with Judd Apatow on an untitled upcoming project.
Dern is repped by CAA.
