Fresh off of rave reviews for her part in Mr. Holmes, Laura Linney has signed on to play Cpt. “Sully” Sullenberger’s wife in Clint Eastwood’s latest project about the miracle landing on the Hudson, SULLY.
In 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 lost engine power, and Cpt. Sullenberger became an instant national hero when he managed to save the lives of all passengers onboard with an amazing emergency landing. Tom Hanks is playing Sully, and Aaron Eckhardt is attached to play his co-pilot.
Todd Komarnicki has adapted a script for Eastwood from the book, Highest Duty: My Search For What Really Matters, by Cpt. Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow.
Linney can be seen next in Michael Grandage’s Genius. She is repped by ICM and Brillstein Entertainment
