Lauren Graham is joining the upcoming CBS reboot of THE ODD COUPLE. The Parenthood star has signed on for a guest starring role as Gaby, the ex-wife of Oscar Madison (Matthew Perry). The show is a reboot of the 1970s ABC comedy of the same name that starred Tony Randall and Jack Klugman, which itself was based on play written by Neil Simon. CBS’ version stars Perry as the sloppy Oscar while Perry’s 17 Again co-star shares top-billing as the neurotic Felix Ungar. A movie was also made in 1968 and starred the legendary comedy duo Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau.
Graham currently stars on NBC’s Parenthood, a dramedy about the lives and tragedies of the Braverman family tree, though she is perhaps best known for her role as Lorelai Gilmore on the WB’s Gilmore Girls. She can next be seen on the big screen in A Merry Friggin’ Christmas, the comedy starring the late Robin Williams about a man who must spend Christmas with his estranged family of misfits.
There is currently no scheduled premiere date for The Odd Couple.
Graham is repped by ICM and John Carrabino Management.
