Liam Neeson has joined the cast of SILENCE alongside Andrew Garfield, Ken Watanabe and Adam Driver. Based on the book of the same name by Shusako Endo, the story revolves around Jesuits who took on the dangerous task of bringing Christianity to Japan. There’s no word on what specific role Neeson will play.
Martin Scorsese will direct from a script he cowrote with Jay Cocks. Irwin Winkler, Randall Emmett, George Furla, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Checchi Gori and Barbara DeFina will produce.
Neeson was last heard in “The Nut Job.” Up next for him are several projects including “Non-Stop,” “Run All Night,” “A Walk Among the Tombstones” and “A Million Ways to Die in the West.”
