“The Kids Are All Right” writer/director, Lisa Cholodenko, is in negotiations to take over the director’s chair in the upcoming Fox adaptation of the popular children’s book, ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY. Seasoned director, Shawn Levy, was previously in talks to helm. Cholodenko would direct from a script by Rob Lieber that centers on a young boy, Alexander, and his family, who collectively endure the worst day of their lives, beginning when Alexander’s day goes from bad to worse after he wakes up with gum in his hair.
Levy and Lisa Henson are producing, with Jason Lust to executive produce.
Cholodenko is repped by Cinetic Media.
