Fox-Marvel actioner DEADPOOL 2 is narrowing down their options for an actor to portray Domino on the big screen with Lizzy Caplan, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Sienna Miller, Mackenzie Davis, Ruby Rose, Eve Hewson, Kelly Rohrbach, Sofia Boutella, Stephanie Sigman, and Sylvia Hoeks all on the shortlist. The role is currently testing.
In the comics, Domino (aka Neena Thurman) is a former mercenary-turned-X-Men who gained the ability to manipulate luck through the government experiment Project: Armageddon. She first appeared in the 1992 comic book X-Force. Through her run, the character has been an ally, friend, lover, and sometimes enemy of Deadpool.
The first Deadpool film premiered early this year starring Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson and quickly broke box office records for an R-rated film. The film included a post-credits scene that announced the appearance of Cable in the sequel but news of Domino’s role was revealed more recently, with Halt and Catch Fire‘s Mackenzie Davis reported to be up for the spot.
The Tim is being helmed by Tim Miller with a script Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.
