Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has been cast in TRUMBO. The biopic, focusing on the life of blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, features Bryan Crantson in the title role. The film also stars Helen Mirren, Diane Lane, John Goodman, Peter Mackenzie, Louis C.K. and Roger Bart. Akinnuoye-Agbaje will portray Virgil Brooks, an imposing and serious man who works at the Ashland Federal Prison and is assigned to perform daily duties for Trumbo. The film is helmed by Jay Roach.
Akinnuoye-Agbaje has had an illustrious career in film, primarily starring in action and adventure films. Notable past work includes “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” “Faster,” “Bullet to the Head” and most recently “Pompeii” and “Thor: The Dark World.” Akinnuoye-Agbaje is also known for his television roles on HBO’s “Oz” and as Mr. Eko on ABC’s hit series “Lost.” Up next, he will star in the fifth season of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” as well as in the film remake of “Annie” alongside Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz. He will also star in NBC’s upcoming drama “Odyssey.”
