Ludacris Rolls Out For “Empire” Season 2

Ludacris confirmed that he will be appearing as a guest star in the second season of Fox‘s ratings phenomenon Empire, which premieres on September 23rd. Instagram was the Fast and Furious actor’s social media outlet of choice on Thursday to confirm his role with his followers.

“This could get interesting…#empireseason2,” he posted.

Empire’s first season–which detailed the trials and tribulations of a modern hip-hop mogul’s family in operatic fashion–was a smash hit with audiences, managing to pull off what had been considered nearly impossible in the digital age: gaining viewers for ten straight weeks, and capping it all off with a stunning 16.5 million viewers for its spectacular two-hour finale. It comes as no surprise then that appearing as a guest star on the widely-seen series has become a hot ticket for some Hollywood players. Ludcaris joins a long list of guest stars that already includes names like Chris Rock, Marisa Tomei, and Lenny Kravitz.

Ludacris is repped by CAA.
