Game of Thrones star will lend her voice to the forthcoming stop-motion animated comedy EARLY MAN from animation icons Aardman and Oscar-winning Wallace & Gromit creator Nick Park.

The Emmy-nominated actor will join the previously announced cast members, Tom Hiddleston and Eddie Redmayne. Set during prehistoric times, the movie tells the story of Dug (Redmayne) and his sidekick Hognob as they unite the tribe against the might Bronze Age in a battle to beat them at their own game. Maisie is set to voice Goona, the gallant and indomitable rebel who befriends the film’s hero. Hiddleston will voice the governor of the Bronze Age town, Lord Nooth, who is a money-loving tyrant and rival to Redmayne’s Dug.

“I’m a huge Aardman fan – having the chance to work with Nick Park is a dream come true, especially as I get to voice such a fantastic character as Goona,” said Williams in a statement. “I can’t wait for audiences to meet her.”

Maisie can be seen in the seventh season of Game of Thrones which is set to premiere in June. She also stars in the upcoming Percy Shelley romantic biopic A Storm in the Stars with Douglas Booth and Elle Fanning.
