Margot Robbie and Miles Teller Will Host the Academy’s Sci-Tech Awards



and will host the Academy’s Sci-Tech Awards on Saturday, February 7, at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills.  They will present 21 awards over the course of the evening, portions of which will be included in the Oscar telecast.

About the hosting choices Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs said:

“Both are fresh voices in our industry and will be a welcome addition to the night where we honor our colleagues’ technical achievements.”

Robbie gave a breakout performance in 2013’s Oscar-nominated The Wolf of Wall Street with Leonardo DiCaprio. She will next be seen Focus, which stars Will Smith as a veteran grifter who takes a young, attractive woman under his wing, but things get complicated when they become romantically involved.

Teller stars in the Best Picture nominee Whiplash, about a promising young drummer enrolls at a cut-throat music conservatory where his dreams of greatness are mentored by an instructor who will stop at nothing to realize a student’s potential. Upcoming he has Insurgent, the sequel to the blockbuster hit Divergent.

The 87th Annual will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood. The ceremony will be televised live at 7 pm EST/4 pm PST on ABC.
