Marion Cotillard has joined the cast of New Regency’s adaptation of the Ubi-Soft video game ASSASSIN’S CREED. Cotillard’s role is unspecified, but is planned to span multiple films.
The story follows an assassin caught between two secret organizations with different ideologies who have influenced major historical events.
The film will pair Cotillard with Michael Fassenbender, and will be directed by Justin Kurzel. This will be a reunion for all three, who have recently worked together on the upcoming release Macbeth.
Cotillard is best known for her roles in The Dark Knight Rises and Midnight In Paris. She recently received a Best Actress Academy Award nomination for her turn in Two Days, One Night.
She can next be seen as Lady Macbeth in the upcoming film adaption of Macbeth.
