Marisa Tomei is in talks to join the UNTITLED MARC LAWRENCE ROMANTIC COMEDY PROJECT, opposite Hugh Grant.
Story follows a divorced and washed up, former oscar-winning, screenwriter (Grant) who takes a job teaching screenwriting at an east coast college and finds himself falling for a single mom who’s gone back to school. No official word on what character Tomei would play, but it’s more than likely the female love interest or possibly the ex-wife.
Producing will be Martin Shafer and Liz Glotzer.
Tomei has recently been in great films such as “The Wrestler”, “Cyrus” and even a bit role in surprisingly good “Crazy, Stupid, Love”. On the horizon for her is the thriller “Inescapable”, recently wrapped, and (broad) comedy “Parental Guidance” starring Billy Crystal, just awaiting release.
She is repped by CAA.
