Marisa Tomei has joined the cast of LOVE IS STRANGE alongside John Lithgow, Alfred Molina, Kelly Reilly, Tracy Letts and Cheyenne Jackson. The story follows A married couple’s relationship that becomes strained when one of their uncles (Lithgow) moves in with them. Tomei will play a novelist, Kate, who’s married to Lithgow’s character’s nephew.
Ira Sachs will direct from a script he wrote with Mauricio Zacharias. Sachs will also produce along with Lucas Joaquin, Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy.
Tomei was last in “Parental Guidance” and “Inescapable.” She’ll next appear in the comedy “Why Now?!”
She is repped by CAA.
