Royal Pains star Mark Feuerstein has RSVP’d for WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER: TEN YEARS LATER, the Netflix sequel series to the cult comedy Wet Hot American Summer. The first limited series, First Day of Camp, was a prequel to the original film.
The new series was established in a scene from the film where the summer camp counselors decide to reunite ten years later. Feuerstein has been cast as a member of the group who has definitely always been there the whole time (though he’s never been seen) and is now a powerful businessman.
The original film and subsequent show starred Michael Showalter, who also co-wrote the film, Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Janeane Garofalo, and Paul Rudd.
Feuerstein is best known for his work at Royal Pains on USA and has a recurring role on the upcoming event series of Prison Break. He and wife Dana Klein are co-writing and executive producing 9J, 9K, and 9L which is in development at CBS.
