is set to reprise his role as The Trickster on THE FLASH. Hamill performed the role of Jesse James, AKA The Trickster on the 90’s CBS series of the same name. Hamill joins co-star John Wesley Shipp, who starred as the Flash on the original series and now portrays Barry’s father on the current CW series. According to HitFix, Hamill will appear in the 17th episode of “The Flash,” with a new spin on his character. “In this new iteration, The Trickster is an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry and Det. West to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original’s deadly footsteps.” In the comics, The Trickster is one of The Flash’s better-known villains, often dominating a spot in his rogues gallery.

Hamill needs no introduction, as he’s famously remembered for his performance as Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy. This mark’s another milestone in Hamill’s long career working with DC Comics properties, as he voiced The Joker in several animated and live-action series, as well as animated movies and video games. Up next, Hamill will return to his most iconic role in the upcoming Star Wars sequel, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He’ll also star in Kingsman: The Secret Service and Minkow.
