The cast for Marvel’s INHUMANS has been stacking up and after the announcement of Hell on Wheels star Anson Mount as Black Bolt, they wasted no time in naming Graceland alum as Medusa, his wife and almighty Queen of the Inhumans.

The Inhumans were created in 1965 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Medusa and Black Bolt are part of a race of superhumans and they are the head of the Inhuman Royal Family. Medusa is Black Bolt’s most trusted adviser and a warrior who has the ability to control and manipulate her super-strong hair. Swan and Mount are also joined by former Game of Thrones villain Iwan Rheon, who will play Black Bolt’s brother, Maximus — another baddie.

The cast of Inhumans is shaping up to be a roster of up and coming talent for the upcoming series which was originally envisioned as a feature film. Considering Inhumans play an important role in Agents of SHIELD, it makes more sense that Inhmans move to ABC. But before it does, they will premiere on IMAX and then transition to the small screen on ABC.

The eight-episode straight-to-series drama will be written and exec produced by Dexter‘s Scott Buck, who will also serve as showrunner. Jeph Loeb from Marvel and Jim Chory have also signed on as executive producers. The drama is set up at Marvel and ABC Studios.

Swan’s previous television credits include Chicago Fire and Smallville. She can be seen in the upcoming action pic The Veil.
