Mary Elizabeth Winstead is set to star in Paramount’s THE CELLAR. The sci-fi thriller centers on a woman who wakes up in a bomb shelter with a mysterious man who says he rescued her from an apocalyptic event. The project is being directed by Dan Trachtenberg from a spec script written by Josh Campbell and Matt Stuecken, with J.J. Abrams producing under his Bad Robot banner.
Winstead is known for her horror/thriller roles in “Grindhouse,” “Live Free or Die Hard,” and 2011’s “The Thing.” More recently, she has played Mary Todd Lincoln in “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” and reprised her role as Lucy in “A Good Day to Die Hard.” Next up, Winstead is set to star opposite Jeremy Renner and Michael Sheen in “Kill the Messengers.”
