Matt Cook has joined the conga line of writers working on developing project BUTTON MAN: THE KILLING GAME for DreamWorks. The project is based on the (out of print) comic of the same name by John Wagner and Arthur Ranson.
Story follows a group of jaded millionaires who pit their own personal assassins against each other in a clandestine, deadly game. Which sounds like it could be awesome in a “American Psycho” meets “Battle Royale” kind of way.
Producing will be Zach Schiff-Abrams, Michael De Luca and Stephen Levinson.
Cook is a member of the 2010 Black List, the 2010 Hit List and the 2011 Young & Hungry List. He’s currently working on draft of “Matterhorn”, which he is also attached to direct, and has a TV pilot at FX called “The Keepers” in the works.
He is repped by WME.
