Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass Reunite for a Jason Bourne Sequel

is officially back as Jason Bourne for Paul Greengrass’ . In what will be his fourth go around as Bourne, Damon will reunite with his Supremacy and Ultimatum director. The plot details are being kept quiet but the film is set to be released in 2016. The project is not to be confused with Universal’s film set in the Bourne universe starring Jeremy Renner as Aaron Cross with Justin Lin directing.

Damon began his Bourne career back in 2002 with The Bourne Identity and went on to star in two more iterations of the character before Renner took over as Aaron Cross in 2012 with The Bourne Legacy. In the time between the Damon’s last film as Bourne – in 2007 – he’s been keeping busy starring in films like Paul Greengrass’ action thriller Green Zone, Gus Van Sant’s Promised Land, and George Clooney’s The Monuments Men. He also starred in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. Among Damon’s many upcoming , he is set to star in Ridley Scott’s sci-fi adaptation The Martian and Alexander Payne’s dramedy Downsizing.
