Matt Lucas To Return To “Doctor Who” In Season 10



After appearing as Nardole in “The Husbands Of River Song”, is set to return to the cult series for the tenth season of DOCTOR WHO as begins filming on Monday. 

“Delighted and slightly amazed to be welcoming back to the Tardis – and this time it’s not just for Christmas, he’s sticking around,” said head writer and executive produced Steven Moffat. “One of the greatest comedy talents on Planet Earth is being unleashed on all of time and space.”

Lucas boards a big season for the series as Pearl Mackie joins the cast in the role of the newest companion, while The Doctor, Peter Capaldi, is expected to be entering his last season. Moffat is also set to leave at the end of season ten. 

Stephanie Hyam has also been in cast in a guest role. Hyam has appeared in Peaky Blinders and Sherlock

Brian Michin executive produces with Moffat while Peter Bennett produces. Lawrence Gough will direct the first episode of the season, written by Moffat. The series is produced by BBC Cymru Wales for BBC One and BBC America.
