“Max Steel” Testing Male & Female Leads

Several actors are testing for the male and female leads in MAX STEEL. The story follows a teenager, Max, who gets imbued with an energy power called TURBO, which stands for Tachyon Unlimited Radiant Bio-Optimized. He is partnered with Steel, a technological alien who protects him. Before you start rolling your eyes, just realize it’s based on the Mattel toy line. Not an excuse, but temper your outrage accordingly.

Anyhow, Noah Silver (“The Borgias”), Ben Winchell (“Necessary Roughness”) and Dylan Minnette (“Prisoners”, “Lost”) are testing to play Max. For the undisclosed female role both Skyler Day (“Parenthood”, “Ironside”) and Skyler Samuels (“The Nine Lives of Chloe King”, “The Gates”) are in the running. I guess no matter which one gets the role… *puts on shades*… the sky’s the limit.

Christopher Yost wrote the script that Stewart Hendler will direct.

Samuels and Silver are repped by UTA. Day, Winchell and Minnette are repped by ICM, Gersh and Cunningham Escott Slevin & Doherty respectively.
