The animated film will focus on a young robotics prodigy who joins a team of reluctant crime fighting superheroes to defend the city of San Fransokyo from a criminal plot. There is no word on what character Rudolph will play in the “Big Hero 6,” but chances are it’ll be a lead role. This is the first animated Marvel film to be released with Disney Animation Studios.
Rudolph is probably most well known for her time as a cast member on “Saturday Night Live” and her role in the movie “Bridesmaids.” Rudolph is no stranger to voiceover work for animated films, she’s had roles in both “Turbo” and “The Nut Job.” She can next be seen in Paul Thomas Anderson’s crime drama “Inherent Vice.”
“Big Hero 6” is set for release on November 7th of this year. Hopefully, we’ll see more casting announcements about this project soon.
Rudolph is repped by WME.
