Real-life married couple Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman have been tapped to guest star on the second season of LIFE IN PIECES. To make things interesting and a bit awkward, the two will not be starring as husband and wife on the CBS comedy, but as brother and sister.
The unique sibling relationship has the actors playing “parents” to Clementine, played by Hunter King. Mullally stars as the free-spirited Mary-Lynn to Offerman’s Spencer, who Clementine refers to as “Uncle Dad.” Although they are very supportive parents to Clementine, the two have a relationship a little too close for comfort for a brother and sister.
Known for her Emmy Award-winning role as Karen on Will and Grace, Mullally has appeared on numerous TV shows including Children’s Hospital and Bob’s Burgers. She can be seen next on the big screen in Why Him? opposite Bryan Cranston and James Franco as well as the ensemble comedy Infinity Baby.
Offerman is best known as the wood making, no-nonsense Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation. He recently starred in the second season of Fargo on FX and, like Mullally, appeared in episodes of Children’s Hospital and Bob’s Burgers. He also can be seen next in The Founder with Michael Keaton and heard in the DreamWorks animated feature Sing.
Both are repped by UTA.
