In June, we released a news of attachment possibilities for Screen Gems’ and Temple Hill’s upcoming romance, OXFORD, with Supergirl’s Melissa Benoist and Divergent’s Theo James. Benoist was circling the project and the offer was out to James at the time (read the full article HERE). Now the cast is set with Benoist taking the female lead opposite Outlander’s Sam Heughan.
The story follows American student Allison Gallagher (Benoist) while studying abroad at Oxford University, where she falls in love with her terminally ill TA (Heughan). The script was written by Allison Burnet, and there’s no news yet on a director.
Benoist and Heughan are repped by UTA.
