Rebecca Ferguson, who burst onto the scene this summer in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, has become a much sought after actress. After turning down the female lead in Fox’s X-Men spin-off, Gambit, she is now in talks to join Michael Fassbender and director Tomas Alfredson in THE SNOWMAN.
The film from Working Title and Another Park Film is based on the best selling series from Jo Nesbo, centers on an idiosyncratic detective (Fassbender) in the Oslo police department who investigates an unsolved case of missing mothers and wives. The book was adapted by Matthew Michael Carnahan.
Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce with Robyn Slavo and Piodor Gustafston. Martin Scorcese, Nesbo, Niclas Salomonsson, and Working Title’s Amelia Granger and Liza Chasin will executive produce.
Ferguson will next be seen in The Girl on a Train opposite Emily Blunt.
She is repped by Tavistock Wood Management in the UK, ICM Partners, and Actors in Scandinavia in Sweden.
