Michael C. Hall is set to join Disney’s remake of PETE’S DRAGON. There’s no word yet on what character Hall will play, but he joins a growing cast consisting of Oona Laurence, Robert Redford, Bryce Dallas Howard, Wes Bentley, and newcomer Oakes Fegley. The film will follow a lonely orphaned boy named Pete who leaves his abusive foster family and arrives in a small fishing village in Maine, where he is befriended by a dragon named Elliott. David Lowery and Toby Halbrooks wrote the script, with Lowery also directing.
Hall has focused primarily on his film work since his hit Showtime series Dexter came to an end in 2013. Most recently, he starred in Kill Your Darlings and Cold in July. Up next, the Six Feet Under star will executive produce the television mini-series God Fearing Man.
