Michael Eklund and Brandon Sexton join the cast of DARK. The psychological thriller, which comes from Nick Basile and Elias, centers on a model struggling with emotional issues who becomes paranoid after becoming trapped alone in a loft during a blackout in New York City. Whitney Able and Alexandra Breckenridge also star in the film.
Eklund has appeared in thrillers like Jon Avnet’s “88 Minutes,” “The Call” starring Halle Berry and “Nurse 3D,” the Lionsgate thriller about a homicidal nurse. His upcoming projects include crime/thriller “Dead Draw” and horror sequel “See No Evil 2.” Eklund also plays Zane on A&E’s “Psycho” prequel series “Bates Motel.”
Sexton is known for his roles in “Boys Don’t Cry,” Ridley Scott’s “Black Hawk Down” and CBS Films’ crime/comedy “Seven Psychopaths” alongside Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken. He also played Belko Royce on the AMC/Netflix series “The Killing.” Sexton will next appear in “The White Orchid” and “Welcome to Happiness,” a dramedy about a children’s book author who holds the key to a mysterious door in his closet that only allows certain people to enter.
