The film, which has been in development for some time, will chronicle the life and times of the late rapper Tupac Shakur, who was gunned down in 1996. Steve Bagatourian, Christopher Wilkinson and Stephen J. Rivele were the original writers with Brian Tucker and David McKenna writing more current drafts.
James G. Robinson, David C. Robinson, LT Hutton and Rick Nicita will produce.
Starrbury wrote the script for the drama “The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete”, which is premiering at Sundance, and is currently rewriting Wayne Kramer’s action comedy “Fully Automatic”.
