Michael Werwie is in talks to adapt OPERATION SHAKESPEARE for Legendary Pictures. Based on the book written by John Shiffman, the thriller will tell the true story of a sting launched by an undercover Homeland Security unit created to stop the Iranians, Russians, Chinese, Pakistanis, and North Koreans from acquiring sophisticated American-made electronics capable of guiding missiles, jamming radar, and triggering countless weapons. Operation Shakespeare is the code name for the sting.
Werwie doesn’t have any credits to his name to speak of, but he’s scripting thriller “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile” and drama/thriller “Lost Girls,” which centers on a mother searching for her missing daughter who finds more than she bargained for in the woods of Long Island.
