In addition to writing the script with Jeff Howard, Mike Flanagan has signed on to direct OUIJA 2. The duo will be joined by fellow Oculus alum, Annalise Basso, who has nabbed the lead. The film comes from Blumhouse, Universal, Platinum Dunes, and Hasbro.
The sequel once again centers on the ancient spirit board game, with Basso playing a young girl who is grieving the recent loss of her father. The first film grossed over $100 million worldwide while operating under the Blumhouse micro-budget model of $5 million.
Flanagan is repped by APA and Nelson Davis Wetzstein.
Blasso is repped by Industry Entertainment and Coast To Coast Talent Group.
