The spec, which tok the top spot on the 2011 Hit List as well as The Black List centers on Alan Turing, a British mathematician who was a pioneer in the computer revolution and a pivotal part of cracking the Enigma Code in World War II. A tortured soul, he committed suicide two years after revealing his sexual orientation and enduring a humiliating treatment program. Previously J. Blakeson was attached to direct and the project was set up at Warner Bros. with Leonardo DiCaprio in talks to star, but the script had since been released back to Moore and the producers- Nora Grossman, Ido Ostrowsky and Teddy Schwarzman.
Tyldum has directed the foreign pics “Buddy”, “Falne Engler” and most recently “Headhunters”. He is currently in development on another spec, Tyler Marceca’s “The Disciple Program” which was a member of this year’s Blood List.
Tyldum is repped by WME.
