The day after Lost alum Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje was cast in Trumbo, Mr. Eko is coming back to TV on GAME OF THRONES. Even though GoT fans are rabid in their fandom, we’ll briefly recap what went down at the close of season four. Needless to say, spoilers lie ahead. Tyrion went on a murderous rampage while escaping his certain death at the hands of one of his father’s minions. Arya had left the Hound for dead, Bran finds a creepy “seer,” and Jon Snow gets some much needed back up from Stannis. Ok, now that that’s out of the way, Akinnuoye-Agbaje has been cast as Malko, who is a new character to the show and hasn’t appeared in any of the book series.
Akinnuoye-Agbaje had appeared in a number of projects before his time on Lost, including Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, The Mummy Returns, and The Bourne Identity, but by far he’s best known for his TV roles, playing Mr. Eko on Lost and Simon Adebisi on Oz. Since then, he has had roles in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Thor: The Dark World, and Paul W.S. Anderson’s Pompeii. He has very recently been cast as Virgil Brooks in Trumbo and will play Nash in Will Gluck’s adaptation of Annie.
