Elliot tries to piece together what happened to him, in the first trailer for MR. ROBOT Season 3.
In the trailer, Elliot (Rami Malek) wakes up from the gunshot wound inflicted upon him in the Season 2 finale and is looking for answers.
“Season 3 is about Elliot trying to bounce back and fight against the people who have been using him,” Sam Esmail, the show’s creator and showrunner, said earlier. “Elliot isn’t going to take this lying down.”
The writer and director also said that the nefarious Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallstrom), responsible for Elliot’s fate, is back in the picture, despite missing for most of Season 2.
“With Tyrell, we really don’t know much about his whereabouts or what happened to him,” Esmail said. “There’s a lot of that circular storytelling that we really delve into with his character this season.”
The new trailer also contains a lot of talk about “phase 2,” which Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) was working with Tyrell on, and we see Elliot trying to get to the bottom of their nefarious plans as well.
Mr. Robot returns to USA with 10 new episodes on October 11.
