Naomi Watts has entered final talks to lead Jurassic World helmer Colin Trevorrow’s hot forthcoming project, BOOK OF HENRY. Though no details on the film’s plot have been released, we do know that the original script was penned by best-selling author Gregg Hurwitz.
Focus Features will release the pic, which commences shooting in New York this September, with Sidney Kimmel and Carla Hacken producing via their Sidney Kimmel Entertainment banner, along with Adam Richman and Jenette Kahn for Double Nickel. John Penotti will executive produce.
The project was quickly fast-tracked following the gargantuan success that was Trevorrow’s sophomore effort Jurassic World, which has raked in an unbelievable $1.582 billion worldwide.
Watts most recently appeared opposite Ben Stiller in Noah Baumbach’s While We’re Young and in The Divergent Series: Insurgent. The Academy Award-nominated actress is currently busy with a number of projects, including The Divergent Series: Allegiant, Part 1, the Jake Gyllenhaal drama Demolition, The Weinstein Company’s transgender drama About Ray, and the thriller Shut In. She’ll next be seen in Gus van Sant’s drama The Sea Of Trees, which co-stars Ken Watanabe and Matthew McConaughey.
