NBC has given a pilot production commitment to an UNTITLED ELLEN DEGENERES COMEDY with Parenthood’s Monica Potter attached to star and produce. Though details are currently under wraps, the plot is said to be pulled from Potter’s real life. Warner Bros. TV and DeGeneres’ A Very Good Production are behind the project with DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman executive producing and Sherry Bilsing-Graham and Ellen Kreamer writing.
Potter currently stars in NBC’s Parenthood, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe. Now on its 6th and final season, the hour-long dramedy revolves around the lives and tragedies of three generations of the Braverman family tree. She was also seen in Con Air with Nicolas Cage and Patch Adams with Robin Williams.
Potter is repped by ICM and The Schiff Company.
