NBC has given a ten episode order to the currently untitled outbreak drama from The Imitation Game writer Graham Moore and World War Z director Marc Forster. The series was previously titled Patient Zero. The series looks at how society acts in the wake of a global life threatening epidemic. While some people are revealed to be heroes, others are roped into the downfall of the madness that the outbreak creates. During the epidemic, the FBI is on the trail of a case that could be secretly related to the outbreak. The series was created by Moore, and Forster is on board to direct the pilot. They will both serve as executive producers.
Moore received an Oscar earlier this year for his adapted screenplay of The Imitation Game. He has written the upcoming 19th century serial killer thriller The Devil In The White City.
Known for directing World War Z, The Kite Runner, and the James Bond film Quantum Of Solace, Forster is set to direct the upcoming drama All I See Is You starring Blake Livley.
